Leo has loved working at our Douglas Diamonds Jewelry Store in Owatonna over the past several years! He is now 11 and feels a need to retire. Because of his age, he is having trouble seeing which has hindered his ability to get in the car; he is also having little seizures. The vet said that his blood work is good and that this is all part of the aging process right now. Ever since November 2019 he has been needing more naps and rest time which he is not getting at work. Leo is spending a good part of his day sleeping so that now he is looking very rested and happy when his owner comes home from work.
Leo does wish to announce that he is an uncle! The next generation Douglas Diamonds Dog was born November 29, 2019 and arrived at the Douglas home Saturday January 25, 2020! As of Monday January 27th he weighed 10lbs. Puppy is a purebred Golden Retriever. Leo has always loved to play keep-a-way, chase the ball, and chew the bone with other dogs in our family, so now he is happy and energized to be teaching his little nephew the same games!
As we decide on a name for the new little guy, we are having a contest on Facebook to Name The Puppy! There will be posts, an event and live videos to get the news out! Here is how it works:
